As an active member of Equal Voice, she often participates in discussions on the inclusion of women in politics in Canada, always bring her perspective as a Black francophone woman to the table.
Outside of her professional life, she always finds ways to be engaged in her community: it is a social responsibility to be part of movements that are making the world a better place. For the last 6 years, Soraya has been involved with different groups – especially groups advocating for racialized people and women.
In addition to her social engagement, Soraya was the Lead of Manyatta Network, the Ottawa chapter; a collective of Young Black professionals, looking to connect, share their experience and find mentorship opportunities within the National Capital region.
